Meet Our Founder
Paula Bearden is an award winning dancer and choreographer born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Paula has been dancing since the age of three starting as a company member with Etta Jamison’s Dance Expression. Paula is a past Skyline High School Silhouette Captain and a 2005 All American. Paula has a degree from Sam Houston State University where she was a member of Fade to Black Dance Team and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc

Meet Our Instructors
Known to her students and clients as Ms. B, she has been dancing since the age of 14. Brooklynwas introduced to dance in high school where she was a member and captain of the SkylineSilhouettes Dance Team. Brooklyn also taught after school and summer dance programs for various schools and organizations through a company called Sway Enterprises. A graduate of Prairie View A&M University, where she minored in Dance Education. After graduating, Brooklyn opened her own dance company called JustB. JustB focuses on building confidence and character through creative movement.

Ryan Gilbert was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and began dancing at the age of 11 with A Dance Expression Dance Company, which is run by Etta and Christina Jamisone. After six years with A Dance Expression, she joined the Xplosive Dance Company in 2018. Ryan attended Grambling State University and performed with the Orchesis Dance Company, directed by Diane Maroney Grigsby, from 2018-2022. Ryan graduated from Grambling State University with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Spanish.

Sydney is a 22 year old professional dancer born and raised in Los Angeles She trained with the Debbie Allen Dance Academy and the Los Angeles County High school for the Arts. She then went on to attend Fordham University and The Alvin Ailey BFA program where she got her BFA in Dance and Sociology. Sydney is currently a company member with the Dallas Black Dance Theater Encore.

Asia “Ace” Currie-Clay began her dance journey at 15 with Cypress Ridge High School's drill team, mentored by Rangerette Jillian Cates. She later earned a degree in Financial Planning & Business Management from Langston University, where she founded The Dolls Dance Company. After graduating, Asia became a professional dancer and instructor with RACE Dance Collective and Freedom Dance Studio in Oklahoma City. Now based in Dallas, she has worked with teams like Pynke Royalty and Dare2Dance, with a portfolio featuring performances, choreography, and music videos with artists like Princess Wonda, TYE Harris, Nhamo, and Yung Xayy.

Ingrid Dewitt Williams is a poet, author, and early childhood educator from Fort Worth, Texas. She is a licensed biblical counselor and member of the Dallas Poetry Commission. Ingrid dedicates her talents to performing and presenting performances in the DFW region, including The Dock Bookshop's open mic night. Ingrid is passionate about guiding children through life's transitions with comfort and grace.
